Cookie Policy

This policy explains how Mad Monkey uses cookies and similar technologies on its website.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device to collect standard Internet log information and visitor behaviour. They allow us to recognise your device and improve your experience by storing your preferences.

Why We Use Cookies

• Essential cookies – required for basic website functionality (e.g., enabling the shopping cart). These cookies do not require consent but are disclosed in this policy.
• Analytics cookies – help us understand how visitors interact with our site and which pages are most popular. We use tools such as Google Analytics. These cookies require your consent.
• Marketing cookies – used to deliver relevant adverts and track the effectiveness of our marketing. We obtain your explicit consent before setting marketing cookies.

Managing Cookie Preferences

Upon your first visit, our cookie banner will ask you to accept or decline non‑essential cookies. You can change your preferences at any time using the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer. Essential cookies cannot be turned off because they are necessary for the site to function.

What Information Cookies Collect

Cookies may collect your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs and your on‑site actions (e.g., pages visited, items added to cart). We do not use cookies to collect sensitive personal information.

Third‑Party Cookies

Our site uses third‑party services (e.g., Google Analytics, social media plugins). These third parties may place their own cookies on your device. Please refer to their policies for more information.

Data Transfers

Some third‑party cookies transfer data outside South Africa. We ensure that adequate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

Updates

We may update this cookie policy. Changes will be posted on our site.
